¼ Euro from France. Issued in 2004. Struck in Silver (.900). Measures 37 mm and weighs 22.2 g.
- Obverse
- In the center of the coin the face value "1/4 EURO" is indicated in a square itself in a circle. Underneath, on the left a Gallic cock and on the right a Chinese dragon. On the upper edge of the listel, the inscriptions "2003-2004 L'ANNÉE DE LA CHINE EN FRANCE" in Chinese and "2004-2005 L'ANNÉE DE LA FRANCE EN CHINE" in French. Finally, the marks of workshops, the year "2004", the name of the issuing country "RF" (French Republic) and other Chinese ideograms, are located under the preceding inscriptions and between the cock and the dragon.

- Representation in the center of the piece of French and Chinese monuments such as: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Mont-Saint-Michel, the Great Wall of China, the Temple of Heaven and the gate of the Forbidden City. A traditional Chinese frieze borders the listel.
