Obverse
The inner part of the coin represents a pig, surrounded by the inscriptions "Year of the Pig" and "2007" the year of issue and Chinese characters. All around a frieze close to the scroll. The pig is the last sign of the Chinese zodiac, it is a year of the Fire Pig.
Reverse
The portrait of Jean de la Fontaine as well as all the animals of the Chinese zodiac.
