½ Piastre from Cyprus. Issued from 1879 to 1900. Struck in Bronze. Measures 27.5 mm and weighs 5.83 g.
- Obverse
- Queen facing left wearing a coronet with a decoration of oak leaves and scrolls. Date below Note: 1881H and 1882H. A small H above the date indicates that those coins was struck at the mint of Ralph Heaton and Sons, Birmingham, England (now The Mint, Birmingham, Ltd.)
- Reverse
- 1/2 within a circle of beads and in a circle the inscription: · CYPRUS · HALF PIASTRE
