Obverse
The "Flowing Hair" Liberty head on the right, the thirteen stars of the original union and the vintage. This design was not well accepted by the public, as the flowing hair was considered daring for the time.
Reverse
A puny eagle, head right and wings spread, standing on an olive branch and the name of the country.
