Obverse
Half-length figure of the king Juan Carlos I reading his first message to the nation as King, encircled by a legend and the year of issue. Around is a pearl beading. (JUAN CARLOS I KING OF SPAIN· 2000 ·)
Reverse
In the center is the royal crown and mint mark at left. Under them appears the value of the piece. There is a lenticular hologram in the exergue with the image of a crowned M and two zeros.
