2 Reales from Buenos Aires. Issued from 1860 to 1861. Struck in Copper. Measures 32 mm and weighs 7.6 g.
- Obverse
- On the perimeter, superior semicircular legend "BANCO Y CASA DE MONEDA" and lower, also semicircular, "BUENOS AYRES". In the center, the value and the actual abbreviation "Rs 2." Enclosed within laurel wreath, which can rotate against or in favor of clockwise. Beading points. (BANK AND CURRENCY HOUSE 2 R.S BUENOS AYRES)
- Reverse
- In midfield and three horizontal lines labeled "DOS / REALES / 1860" crowned with a rosette of five petals; all enclosed within garlands of stylized oak without fruit and with the ends tied up by a bow. Beading points. (TWO REALS 1860 .)
