- A reproduction of Amerigo Vespucci's portrait, which was drawn from an old engraving of the time. In the background the "Caracca", the ship which the explorer using during his voyages. Below, in exergue, the logo of the Program with name of the author at right. (Italian Republic)

- Free interpretation of the geographical map of the world as made by Martin Waldseemuller in 1507. In the map is clearly shown the Americas on the left. Value is at top, near the North Pole, while below the map are the date and the mintmark.
