- Obverse
- Beneath the stylized federal eagle, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the year, the letter "J" from the Hamburg workshop, the face value "10 EURO", the twelve stars of the European Union and the words "SILBER 625" (silver 625‰) so as not to confuse them with those in cupronickel.
