Design of the coin represents the 2 Kepler laws of movement of planets. The first law is depicted as a planet on an elliptic orbit. The Sun is not in center of it, but a bit aside (in focus of the ellipse). The 16 sectors of equal area represent the second law: for the areas are equal, it takes equal time for planet to pass them.
