5 Roubles from Russia. Issued in 1993. Struck in Copper-nickel. Measures 35 mm and weighs 19.8 g.

- In the centre - the inscription in two lines "5 РУБЛЕЙ" (5 ROUBLES), to the left and to the right - a laurel and an oak branch, under the word "РУБЛЕЙ" (ROUBLES) in the centre of a broken line - the mint trademark, below - the date "1993". The inscriptions along the rim framed by a circle of dots: at the top — "ТУРКМЕНИСТАН" (TURKMENISTAN), at the bottom — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA). (TURKMENISTAN ROUBLES LMD BANK OF RUSSIA)

- Architectural monuments of ancient Merv, the inscription at the top along the rim: "МЕРВ" (MERV), below inscribed in two lines and encircled with a decorative border - the date "2500 ЛЕТ" (2500 YEARS), in the lower part - the inscription - "ТУРКМЕНИСТАН" (TURKMENISTAN) and an element of the design.
