- In the centre — the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower — the semicircular inscription — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom — the year of issue «2001», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right — the fine metal content and the mint trade mark. - The building of the Educative House (the first Moscow savings-bank), over it — a garland of ears and flowers bearing the Emblem of Russian savings-banks (a hive with flying bees around it, and the abundance horn filled with coins), lower to the right — the inscription on a ribbon «МОСКВА» (MOSCOW), at the bottom — the date «1841» written on a vignette of wheat ears, the inscription along the rim: «СБЕРЕГАТЕЛЬНОЕ ДЕЛО В РОССИИ» (THE SAVINGS-AFFAIRS IN RUSSIA).
