¼ Piastre from Hejaz. Issued in 1334. Struck in Bronze. Measures 17 mm and weighs 1.4 g.
- Obverse
- Inner beaded circle (43 beads) contains lettering. Below is Arabic numeral ٨ meaning AH 1334 year 8 (i.e. 1342 though Krause says this is 1922 - which is 1340) NOTE: 1/4 Piastre also Ghirsh. Replaces KM# 22 1/4 Piastre.
- Reverse
- Inner beaded circle (35 beads) contains lettering and ١٣٣٤ (i.e. 1334) date at bottom; circle is broken at bottom by the top of a shield containing value numerals (vertically) ١/٤ meaning 1/4 (Piastre).
