Obverse

Above there is placed the inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine), in the middle of which there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, a conventionalized composition: the distribution function of electrons and ions in the anisometric plasma against the background of the sun, below there are the inscriptions: 2 ГРИВНІ/ 2008 (2 Hryvnia/2008) and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.
