2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2008. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse

There is a composition depicting a circle divided by the wind rose into four parts symbolizing classes of mammalian, birds, fishes and amphibious, which are represented in the zoo; above there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (left, in semicircle), beneath: 2/ ГРИВНІ 2008 (2/Hryvnia 2008) and the NBU Mint logotype.

Reverse

There is a conventionalized inscription: ZOO, inside of which there is a depiction of a giraffe and inscriptions: 100/років (100 Years), КИЇВСЬКОМУ ЗООПАРКУ (to the Kyiv Zoo).
