2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2005. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse

On the left and against the background of conventionalized sheets of paper there is depicted theatre masks - symbols of dramatic art, under them - a conventionalized pen and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine, above and on the right there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, below which there is the inscription: УКРАЇНА/ 2/ГРИВНІ/2005 (Ukraine/ 2 / hryvnia /2005).

Reverse

Upon a background of conventionalized sheets of paper there is a portrait of Korniychuk (left), right from it there is a two lined inscription: 1905 - 1972, his years of life and a semicircular inscription: ОЛЕКСАНДР КОРНІЙЧУК (Olexander Korniychuk)
