2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 1998. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse

There is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the middle of the beads circumference decoration, framed with guelder-rose sprays. Above the State Emblem, there is the year of issue - 1998. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА - above and 2 ГРИВНІ - underneath in two lines. The inscriptions are separated from one another with ornamentation.

Reverse

Against a background of sheets of paper with guelder-rose sprays between them, there is a portrait of Volodymyr Sosyura. Inscriptions: ВОЛОДИМИР СОСЮРА - at the left around the circumference, 1898-1965, years of poet's birth and death - at the right in two lines and ЛЮБІТЬ УКРАЇНУ, a replica from the poet's well-known poem - underneath, in two lines
