- The stylized German federal eagle, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, is surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union, the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the year of issue, the letter "A" of the Berlin workshop and the face value "10 EURO".
