Description
25 Kurush from Ottoman Empire. Issued in 1327. Struck in Gold (.917). Measures 14.5 mm and weighs 1.8 g.
- Obverse
- In upper semicircle, on the collar, seven five-pointed stars. In the excercise, two torches intertwined in the hilt, surmounted by two branches of laurel, equally intertwined. Above the branch splice, numeral ٣. A little above the center of the piece, the image of Toughra. To the right of Toughra, a "Reshat." (Reshad Year 5)
- Reverse
- Starting at the exergence, a laurel wreath that wraps almost the entirety of the rim. Between the top tips of the laurel wreath, a five-pointed star. In the center, entries in Arabic and below the date ١٣٢٧. (May he be victorious Struck in Constantinople 1327)
