- Obverse
- The face of sculptor Frédéric Bartholdi appears in the top left corner of the piece. His first and last name "FRÉDÉRIC BARTHOLDI" is written vertically beside his face. At top right, the Statue of Liberty under construction. At the bottom of the piece is the outline of the Alsace region, with the letters "RF" for République Française above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "ALSACE".
