- Appears on the coin in the upper left the face of William the Conqueror and surrounded by his name "GUILLAUME LE CONQUÉRANT". At the top right is a castle and ships. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the region of Lower Normandy with the letters "RF" for French Republic on top. Along the scroll is the name of the region "BASSE-NORMANDIE".
