- Obverse
- The top left of the coin features the face of the Marquise de Pompadour and her title "LA MARQUISE DE POMPADOUR". At top right is an open book and below it a château. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the Limousin region, with the letters "RF" for République Française above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "LIMOUSIN".

- The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
