Appears on the coin in the upper right the face of the Gallic leader Vercingetorix with underneath his name "VERCINGETORIX". Next to him a Carnyx (Celtic wind instrument). Underneath is the outline of the Auvergne region with the letters "RF" for République Française. Along the listel is written the name of the region "AUVERGNE".
Reverse
The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
