Obverse
On the top left of the coin appears the face of the writer Frédéric Mistral surrounded by his first name "FRÉDÉRIC", and his name "MISTRAL". At the top right is a cicada with the quote "Lou Trésor dóu Félibrige". At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the PACA region with the letters "RF" for République Française on top. Along the listel is inscribed the name of the region "PROVENCE-ALPES-CÔTE D'AZUR".
Reverse
The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
