- Obverse
- The coin features the face of aviator Roland Garros in the top right-hand corner. His first and last name "ROLAND GARROS" is written below his face. At top left, a plane in the air and over the sea can be seen. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the Réunion region, with the letters "RF" for République Française above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "RÉUNION".

- The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
