Obverse
The coin features the face of fencer and musician Joseph Bologne de Saint-George in the top right-hand corner. His knighthood "CH ER" and his name "DE SAINT GEORGE" are written along the scroll beside his face. At top left, a sword and a cello. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the Guadeloupe region, with the letters "RF" for République Française above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "GUADELOUPE".
Reverse
The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
