1 Thaler - Charles Theodore from Electorate of Bavaria. Issued from 1778 to 1779. Struck in Silver (.833). Measures 41.5 mm and weighs 28.06 g.
- Obverse
- Cuirassed bust of the monarch turned to the right with decorations including the Golden Fleece collar, long hair tied at the nape of the neck and falling over the shoulder. Latin legend around the edge with engraver's initial under the bust and workshop letter.
- Reverse
- Behind a radiant motif, the crowned Virgin Mary, seated and holding a child on her lap. Vintage underneath. Latin legends on each side.
- Edge
- Smooth with embossed inscriptions.
