1 Florin from Duchy of Guelders. Issued from 1423 to 1473. Struck in Gold (.500) (Fineness differed. Initially it was .771, but was soon lowered to .500). Measures 24 mm and weighs 2.99 g.

Saint John the Baptist, nimbate and facing, dressed in angora coat, holding staff with (Guelder?) cross in his hand and Christian cross between feet. Legend ends with mint mark (lion). (Saint John the Baptist)
Reverse
Five shields with the coats of arms arranged in shape of cross, within quadrilobe: top: Arnhem, middle line: Roermond, Nijmegen, Zutphen, bottom: fantasy shield? (Duke Arnold of Gelderland and Julich, Count of Zutphen)
