- Obverse
- Female head (symbol of Italy) facing left with a laurel wreath and a towered castle as crown. Name of the author below, along the rim. (Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- Roman bas-relief representing the control of the Magistrates on the issue of coins. The bas-relief shows a mint worker beating on an anvil; at his right stands a Magistrate, while on the left is the upper part of a Corinthian capital. At both sides, the dates of the anniversary. Below is the value with the Mint mark. (Centenary of the Bank of Italy)
