- Obverse
- The face of a woman with oriental features merges with the Olympic torch, whose flame has the shape of a dragon. Next to the torch, at right is the big Star of the Republic Star. Engraver's name below (Italian Republic Colaneri)
- Reverse
- Circular design composed of two female gymnasts, the five Olympic circles and two olive branches, with a Korean decoration in center. Date and mintmark are at sides, and the value at the bottom. (1988 R 500 Lire XXIV (Summer) Olympics Seoul)
