- Around the globe orbit the twelve stars of Europe between three doves, symbol of peace and project for the third millennium. Date below the Globe, while name of the author is on it, near the South Pole. (Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- A human head facing left, as taken from a study of Leonardo on human proportions. From the head is born the spark of human intelligence, shown by the stellar form of a neuron whose branching becomes on the right the helix of the DNA.
