Description
25 Kuna from Croatia. Issued in 2013. Struck in Bimetallic: copper-aluminium-nickel centre in copper-nickel ring (Brass: Cu 92%, Al 6%, Ni 2%). Measures 32 mm and weighs 12.75 g.
- Obverse
- In the Brass center of the coin, it is written nominal value of the coin, number 25. In the contours of the number 25, there is shown a marten running to the right. Under the number it is written "KUNA". In the lower central part of a ring, it is placed a Coat of Arms of the Republic of Croatia. On the left side of a Coat of Arms of the Republic of Croatia it is placed laurel branch and on the right side, it is placed oak branch.On the upper part of the ring it is written "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" (The Republic of Croatia). - Reverse
- In the Brass center it is shown stylized honeycomb that symbolizes European Union. The structure of a honeycomb make twenty-seven cells that are filled with a star, symbols of a countries that are members of a European Union. Existing structure of the twenty-seven cells is annexed with a new, twenty-eighth cell. That new cell has a square in it and over the square is placed a star that symbolizes the final act of accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union as a new, twenty-eighth member. Along the edge in the ring it is written "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA CLANICA EUROPSKE UNIJE" (The Republic of Croatia Member of the European Union). In the central lower part of a ring is written the date "1.VII.2013" (VII is number 7 in Roman).
