- Emblem of the Republic of Cyprus, in a circle the inscription: CYPRUS·ΚΥΠΟΣ·KIBRIS and the date 2007 below Same design as the one used by euro area Member States for issuing a common commemorative 2-euro circulation coin for the same occasion.
- Reverse
- A composition depicting the text of the Treaty of Rome, signed by the six founding countries in European Union, on background evocating the spirit of the paving of the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome designed by Michelangelo where the Treaty was signed on 25 March, 1957, in circle the inscription: "ΣΥΝΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΡΩΜΗΣ - 50 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ROMA ANLASMASI - 50 YIL" and the face value of the coin 1£ below
