- Obverse
- The two-headed eagle designed by artist I. Bilibin. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «3 РУБЛЯ 1997 г.» (3 ROUBLES 1997), at the bottom — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA). The letters below indicate the metal sign, the fineness, the fine metal content and the mint trademark. (ROUBLES MMD BANK OF RUSSIA)
- Reverse
- The figure of a woman against a background of a flag, which is the symbol of the Motherland. The woman has an olive brunch in her right hand and a heraldic shield with the Coat of Arms in her left hand. The inscription to the right in four lines: «ПРИМИРЕНИЕ И СОГЛАСИЕ» (RECONCILIATION AND CONCORD), to the left – the dates «1917», «19 », «1993», «1997» against a background of a flag. Note: date on flag obscured by design (RECONCILIATION AND CONCOR)
