500 Nuevos Pesos from Uruguay. Issued in 1983. Struck in Silver (.900). Measures 33 mm and weighs 12 g.
- Obverse
- Hydroelectric dam "9 de Febrero de 1973", short name of the country on top, value on bottom. This dam was built during military government, and name was given after the date military forces took control of the country; later when democracy was restablished, name was changed to "Constitucion", usually called "Represa de Palmar", the name of the location.
