- Obverse
- Head of Queen Elizabeth II, as at 77 years of age, bare headed, wearing necklace and earrings, facing right. (Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
- Reverse
- The reverse is engraved with the word “CANADA,” the date “2013,” and the face value of “50 CENTS,” as well as “SUPERMAN” in the fictitious Kryptonian language from Superman's home planet in English and French. 2-image lenticular design: Superman moves through the ages from his spectacular debut in 1938, to a more modern interpretation.
