- Obverse
- Armoured non-crowned bust in ruffled collar looking right, ring of pearls under circle of lettering. Mirrored Hungarian fourfold coat of arms (Double cross - Árpád stripes - Bohemian lion - Dalmation leopard heads) with Austrian bonds as chest shield in legend behind the neck. Madonna with child on a crescent on the right, also mirrored: child in left arm (Rudolphus II. dei gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus Germaniae Hungariae Bohemiae Rex - Rudolf II, by the grace of God, Emperor of the Romans, forever Monarch, King of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia)
- Reverse
- A glorified double headed Imperial eagle holding sceptre and sword, an imperial orb on the breast, divides the letters N B Crown in legend above (Archidux Austriae Dux Burgundiae Marchio Moraviae - Crown Prince of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, Marquis of Moravia.)
