- Obverse
- Crowned lion facing, holding sceptre and quartered Royal shield of arms, dividing denomination (James by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland)
- Reverse
- Floriated cross with lis at end of each limb and rose on sun in center; in angles. crowned lion passant left; all within tressure of eight arches with pellet in spandrels (This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous)
