500 Lire from Italy. Issued in 1990. Struck in Silver (.835) (Copper .165). Measures 29 mm and weighs 11 g.
- Obverse
- Portrait of Tiziano as an old man facing left (taken from a self-portrait painting dated 1567). The lower and right part of portrait are cut by a ribbon with the name of the painter and his date of birth and death on it. Name of the author on the lower part, along the rim. Below the name of the engraver. (Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- View of the Tiziano home in Pieve di Cadore, a small town near Belluno, in the former Republic of Venice. Value is below, while date and mintmark are at right (V Centenary of the birth)
