½ Penny from Ireland. Issued in 1794. Struck in Copper. Measures 28.24 mm and weighs 8.94 g.
- Obverse
- A figure of Justice (with her eyes bandaged) standing, holding sword and scales, dividing the date. The hand holding the scales is close to the letter L in LIVE. Lettering around, toothed border
- Reverse
- Cypher L & R (Lloyd & Ridley), at bottom oak sprigs with six leaves on each side tied with a ribbon in a single bow. Lettering (from the famous saying of Trajan) around, toothed border (For me; if I deserve it, against me)
