The stylized German federal eagle, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, is surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union, the state name "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the year of issue, the letter "G" from the Karlsruhe workshop, and the face value "10 EURO".
