500 Francs from Luxembourg. Issued in 1998. Struck in Silver (.925). Measures 37 mm and weighs 22.85 g.
- Obverse
- Portrait to the left of Jean (1921-), Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1964 to 2000 surrounded by legend and face value. Under the head the initials of the Luxembourgish Monetary Institute (IML), near the tip of the neck, the abbreviation "qp" (quality proof) and behind the neck the initials of the artist (G/C). - Seal of 1249 representing the Abbey of Echternach with its ramparts surrounded by the legend between two grentis. All surrounded by the name of the city and the commemorative dates.
