2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1337 to 1340. Struck in Billon (.209 silver). Measures 23 mm and weighs 1.36 g.
- Obverse
- Two lilies superimposed, successively accosted by F, R and A, N. The upper lily is accosted by two 5-pointed stars ,two points or annulets depending on the issue. (Philippe, by the grace of God, king of the Franks.)
- Reverse
- Latin cross with fleur-de-lys, the shaft of which cuts the legend at the bottom. The shaft is flanked by two 5-pointed stars, or two dots or crossed out depending on the issue. (Double currency.)
