2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1579 to 1586. Struck in Copper. Measures 20 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- Bust on the right, laurelled, cuirassed, flat collar, with laces falling straight down to the nape of the neck. There are many varieties for this type, notably in the obverse and reverse circles and the position of the F. Beginning of the legend at 6 o'clock, smooth circle of 13 to 14 mm.
- Reverse
- Beginning of legend at 12 o'clock, circle from 11 to 14 mm. Three lilies posed 2 and 1. Point 7 : Angers Acorn : Mm Alexandre BEDEAU (1583-1588)
