2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1585 to 1587. Struck in Copper. Measures 20 mm and weighs 2.5 g.

Obverse
Bust on the right, laureate, cuirassed, bearded, flat neck. Point to the left of the bust. Beginning of legend at 6 o'clock, circle of 13 mm. Point under the F of FRAN = 12th point. The edition indicated for 1585 and 1586 is to be divided between these two vintages.
Reverse
Beginning of the legend at 12 o'clock by a cross potencée. Circle of 13 mm. Three lilies posed 2 and 1. Point under the second O of TOVRNOIS = Point 12th.
