2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1585 to 1587. Struck in Copper. Measures 20 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- Bust on the right, laureate, cuirassed, bearded, flat neck. Point to the left of the bust. Beginning of legend at 6 o'clock, circle of 13 mm. Point under the F of FRAN = 12th point. The edition indicated for 1585 and 1586 is to be divided between these two vintages.
- Reverse
- Beginning of the legend at 12 o'clock by a cross potencée. Circle of 13 mm. Three lilies posed 2 and 1. Point under the second O of TOVRNOIS = Point 12th.
