2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1591 to 1594. Struck in Copper. Measures 20 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- Coinage hammered under the League. Bust on the right, laurelled, cuirassed with flat collar. Beginning of legend at 6 o'clock, 14 mm circle. Dot under the P of POL = 18th. The A straddles the circle.
- Reverse
- Start of legend at 12 o'clock with a cross pattée. 14 mm circle. Three lilies 2 and 1. Arrowhead or fire flame (depending on the author): Mm Jean DE LA HAYE (1591-1594)
