2 Deniers from France. Issued from 1580 to 1586. Struck in Copper. Measures 20 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- Bust on the right, laurelled, cuirassed, embossed collar emerging from the cuirass. Laces fall straight to the nape of the neck. Beginning of legend at 6 o'clock, 13 mm circle. Point 6, E under the bust. (star (triangle) can be found between two points. Star = Mm Jacques PRIEUR (1578-1594) Hollow triangle = Mg Etienne HUBERT (19/11/1563-1595)
- Reverse
- The legend begins at 12 o'clock with a cross pattée. 13 mm circle, three lilies 2 and 1. Year between 2 dots or not.
