- Obverse
- The "Quadrangola": a medieval insigna representing Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Below the name of the engraver. Around, in a beaded circle the lettering. (Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- A fresco of Giotto from the Basilica of St. John in Laterano, Rome. It depicts the Pope Bonifacio VIII reading the opening bull of the Holy Year 1300. Above the value on two lines; mintmark is below while dates are at sides (First Jubilee Bonifacio VIII Pope)
