1 Philipsdaalder =35-50 Stuivers from Duchy of Guelders. Issued from 1557 to 1558. Struck in Silver (.833). Measures 42 mm and weighs 34.28 g.

- Armored, bareheaded bust of Philip facing left, date below bust and written as an extension of the legend (inverted) (Philip, King of Spain, England, etc., and Duke of Gelderland)

- Crowned shield with arms of Spain-Austria-Burgundy topped with small shield of Gelderland at center, jewels of the Golden Feece hanging below, flanked by a firesteels emitting sparks (The Lord is my helper)
