Description
2 Euros from Italy. Issued in 2014. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- The design shows a reinterpretation of the sculpture ‘Pattuglia di Carabinieri nella tormenta’ made in 1973 by Antonio Berti; on the right, superimposed letters of the Italian Republic monogram "RI" and year of issue 2014 under it; on the left, 1814; up, letter "R" (monogram of the Mint of Rome); at the bottom of sculpture monogram of the Author Luciana De Simoni "LDS", under it in semicircle legend "CARABINIERI." The coin’s outer ring bears 12 stars of the European Union.

- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.
