8 Reales - Ferdinand VI from Bolivia. Issued from 1746 to 1760. Struck in Silver (.917). Measures 35 mm and weighs 27.07 g.

Obverse
Cross Potent, with lions and castles in spaces, inside partial tressure. Mint and assayers mark flanking cross. Denomination “8” above, and three digit date below inside roped border with legend of king surrounding.
Reverse
Pillars of Hercules rise above rising waves with a banner across reading “PLVS VLTRA”. Mint mark P upper left and lower right of pillars, and assayers marks upper right and lower left. Denomination “8” at top between the pillars’ Fluer de Lis, just below the crown. Three digit date between the pillars just above the rising waves. All inside a roped style border, with legend surrounding. (Potosi, year, 1747, of Peru.)
